Product Registration SupportQuestionsQ: How do I get a valid registration code for my product? A: To obtain a valid registration code, purchase the product from a Hudson Mobile sales partner such as Handango or PocketGear. Your registration code will be emailed to you when you purchase the product. Save this email for future reference. Q: I lost my registration code. How do I retrieve it? A: First, you should try to find the email you received when you purchase the product -- this email contains the product registration code. If you cannot find this email, please use this form to submit a registration code request to Hudson Mobile technical support, and your registration code will be emailed to you again. Q: My registration code doesn't seem to work. What's wrong? A: The registration code is related to your Pocket PC Owner Name, and if the Pocket PC Owner Name is blank or different than it was when you registered the product, the registration code will not work. It is important that the Owner Name match the Owner Name you used when you registered the product EXACTLY, including capitalization. For example, if the owner name specified when you registered the product (visible on email receipt) is "Hudson Mobile", and if your actual owner name is "hudson mobile" or "HUDSON MOBILE", the supplied registration code will not work. This issue may also happen when you hard reset or upgrade the ROM on your device (which erases the memory contents) and then attempt to re-install IP or Phone Dashboard without setting the Pocket PC Owner Name that you used when you purchased the product. Simply changing the Pocket PC Owner Name to the name you used at purchase time will make the registration code work again. Tip: To change the owner name, tap on Settings | Owner Information, and then edit the text in the "Name" field. Q: Will my registration code work when I upgrade the product? A: Yes, registered customers are entitled to free product upgrades. Simply install the upgraded product, and if you are re-installing over an existing installation, the code will be picked up automatically. If you are installing cleanly (no previous version is on your device), then you will have to re-enter the code. Q: I have purchased the product, but the version I have downloaded seems to be a trial version. What's going on? A: The trial versions and registered versions of each product are actually identical. By entering your valid registration code into the supplied field and tapping "Enter" you will enable full functionality and disable the nag screens and other trial features. |
