the start menu in the upper left corner of the screen and select "Help".
(usually the bottom entry on the list) Then, find "IP Dashboard"
in the list of available program help files and tap on it to bring up

Q: Is there a way to stop the scrolling
of information on the screen?
A: Yes, there is. Tap on the
icon on the right side of the Today screen to access the Options window.
You will see the View Options window. Select "Full" View using
the radio buttons on the right side of the screen. Then, tap on the checkboxes
next to the information items to configure which items will be shown on
the Today screen. The "Move Up" and "Move Down" buttons
are useful to configure what order the information will be displayed in
on the screen.
Alternatively, in Version 1.1 or above, you can use the Pin feature to
temporarily stop the scrolling of information in "Compact" view.
To enable the Pin feature, tap on the
icon on the right side of the Today screen to access the Options window.
Then tap on the "Advanced" button, and check the box for "Pin."
Click OK, and when you return to the Today screen, you will see a little
circle to the left of the display. Tapping on this circle will temporarily
stop the scrolling of information.
Q: How do I choose what information is displayed

A: Tap on the
icon on the right side of the Today screen to access the Options window.
You will see the View Options window. You will see all available information
items on the left of the window, which checkboxes next to them indicating
their state. A check means that the information will be displayed as part
of the rotating cycle in Compact View, or displayed continuously in Full
View. If there is no check, the information will not be displayed in either
view.
Q: What do the different network activity
icons mean?
A: The meaning of the network activity icons used on
the left side of the Today screen display are as follows:
|
No activity |
|
Transmit (from device to network) |
|
Receive (from network to device) |
|
Both directions (Transmit and Receive) |
|
Adapter not connected, or no network adapters connected
(autoconfig mode) |
Q: How do I get regular notifications
that a certain amount of data has been transferred?
A: Tap on the
icon on the right side of the Today screen to access the Options window.
Tap the "Meter" tab to access the Meter Options window. Tap
"Meter Enabled" to enable the meter. Then, tap "Notifications
Active" to enable notifications. Let's say you want to be notified
every time 5 MB of data has been sent (in either direction) over the selected
network adapter. Use the up/down buttons to adjust the number shown to
"5". Then, tap on "Both Directions" so that data transmitted
in both directions is counted towards the total. Finally, tap on "Reset
Meter on Notify" -- this automatically resets the meter when it reaches
the specified threshold. Thus, you will get regular notifications every
time 5 MB of data is sent or received over the selected network adapter.
Q: Does IP Dashboard support Bluetooth
or GPRS cards?
A: External Bluetooth and GPRS cards should be supported
by IP Dashboard. Internal GPRS/CDMA modems are supported on Phone Edition
devices. (see FAQ answer above) Internal Bluetooth adapters may or may
not be supported by IP Dashboard. The easiest way to see if IP Dashboard
supports your network card is to download the product from Handango or
PocketGear and try it with your card - you can always uninstall it if
it does not appear to be tracking your network connection correctly.
